Vivek Ramaswamy-Founded Strive Buys $235 Million in Bitcoin…

Strive, the Bitcoin treasury company co-founded by Vivek Ramaswamy, has purchased another 2,822 BTC for approximately $235 million, continuing its aggressive accumulation strategy even as Bitcoin fell below $82,000 on October 14, 2026. The company acquired the cryptocurrency between October 12 and October 13 at an average price of approximately $83,266 per Bitcoin, including fees and expenses, according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The acquisition increased Strive’s total holdings to 35,595 BTC, placing it among the largest publicly traded corporate Bitcoin holders.

The purchase coincided with renewed pressure across cryptocurrency markets after hotter-than-expected US inflation figures raised concerns that the Federal Reserve could maintain restrictive monetary policy for longer. Bitcoin subsequently dropped below $82,000, leaving Strive’s latest acquisition temporarily above prevailing market prices.

Strive Expands Treasury Through Warrant Financing

The $235 million acquisition follows another substantial purchase disclosed on October 13, when Strive reported acquiring 3,311 BTC for approximately $280 million between October 5 and October 9. Those earlier purchases were executed at an average price of approximately $84,500 per coin, bringing the company’s holdings to 32,773 BTC. Combined, the two announcements represent approximately $515 million in Bitcoin purchases covering 6,133 BTC. Strive’s latest filing also disclosed approximately $369.2 million in expected gross proceeds from the exercise of warrants covering 13,674,703 shares of Class A common stock.

Aggregate warrant exercise participation reached approximately 94%, providing additional capital to support the company’s treasury strategy. Separately, Strive proposed an offering of five million shares of its 15% Series A Perpetual SATS preferred stock, each carrying a stated amount of $100. The proposed offering could raise substantial additional capital, although completion and final proceeds remain subject to market conditions. Strive said proceeds may support further Bitcoin acquisitions, Bitcoin-related investments, income-generating assets and general corporate purposes.

The financing approach demonstrates how cryptocurrency treasury companies increasingly rely on equity-linked instruments to expand their holdings without selling existing Bitcoin reserves. However, such strategies can introduce shareholder dilution, financing obligations and heightened exposure to cryptocurrency price volatility.

Bitcoin Slides Below $82,000 After Inflation Surprise

Bitcoin fell below $82,000 on October 14 after September’s US consumer price index exceeded market expectations. Headline inflation reached 3.7% annually, compared with consensus expectations of approximately 3.6%, while core inflation increased 0.3% during the month. The figures renewed concerns about the Federal Reserve’s interest rate trajectory, contributing to selling pressure across risk-sensitive assets. Bitcoin declined more than 2% during the session, while Ethereum, XRP and Solana also recorded losses. For Strive, the decline highlights the immediate valuation risks associated with accumulating Bitcoin during periods of macroeconomic uncertainty.

At $82,000 per Bitcoin, the company’s 35,595 BTC holdings would have an indicative market value of approximately $2.92 billion, excluding liabilities and other assets. That figure represents the market value of its cryptocurrency holdings rather than Strive’s corporate equity valuation. The company’s strategy remains focused on increasing Bitcoin ownership per share over time, rather than responding to short-term market fluctuations. Nevertheless, further declines could affect treasury valuations, financing conditions and investor appetite for Bitcoin-linked equities. Strive’s latest purchase therefore illustrates the contrast between long-term corporate accumulation and short-term market uncertainty as inflation and monetary policy expectations continue influencing cryptocurrency prices.
